Grammy-nominated folk singer John McCutcheon first heard the story
of the 1914 Christmas truce backstage during one of his concert
performances. He was so moved and inspired by the account, he wrote
a song about the truce during that 1984 concert's intermission. This
captivating message of peace is retold by John in the book and
brought to life by the warm, realistic illustrations of Henri
Sørensen.
